ROCK CLIMBING

Based in the heart of Snowdonia, Plas y Brenin is surrounded by some of the finest rock climbing routes in Britain, from the towering sea cliffs of Gogarth and exposed mountain crags of the Llanberis Pass, to the inviting slabs of Cwm Idwal and Tremadog.

This unique position in North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park gives us access to great variety for all ability levels. It also means we can be flexible, adapting our rock climbing course content and location to suit both the weather pattern and your individual needs. Ultimately, this all means you are guaranteed to get the most from your time on our rock climbing courses.

Natural Resources Wales’ mountain bike Mecca, Coed-y-Brenin Forest is home to an ever-increasing network of fantastic handbuilt all-weather singletrack including the ‘Falseteeth’ which incorporates the biggest feature in the forest, ‘The Cavity’. Drop in and get spat out over the exit with as much style as you can muster! The technical roller coaster riding will have you grinning like a fool, with stunning mountain views of surrounding Snowdonia that’ll take your breath away. The MinorTaur is a blue graded development which complements the established red and black rides. Its specially adapted features make Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park the first truly inclusive mountain bike destination in the United Kingdom.

PORTMEIRION

Portmeirion was created by the architect Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925 to 1976. He wanted to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it.

Aside from its iconic architecture, scenic surroundings and vast woodland gardens, Portmeirion is home to hip hotels, a huddle of historic cottages, a spa and award winning restuarants. During peak season (Late March to Late October), you can learn more about this unique village with free walking and train tours.
